2016 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS ADELAIDE 24 SEPTEMBER - 8 OCTOBER
A record 83 teams, including the inaugural 75s division, will travel to Adelaide for the 2016 Men's Masters National Championships. The event will feature 282 matches and will be played at the SA State Hockey Centre at Gepps Cross and the Port Adelaide Club grounds. The Championships will commence on Saturday 24th September with matches in the 35s, 40s and 45s divisions.
The tournament organisation is a joint effort of AMHC, Hockey Australia Competitions Staff (David White, Kitty McCaskie, Pip Genge and Tony Persoglia), Hockey SA CEO Andrew Ellis and his staff and the SA Masters Committee (Peter Garlick, Neil Matthews, Pete Schembri and Ric Roberts). The national selectors will select teams in the 35 to 65 age groups to play in the 2017 Trans-Tasman Challenge in Whangerie, New Zealand, April 29th - 7th May; plus 70s and 75s teams to travel to Great Britain in August 2017.
