Australia were convincing winners of the 2015 Trans-Tasman Challenge which was played in typical Melbourne weather at the State Netball and Hockey Centre. The new bright blue pitch was an interesting experience for all players. The matches were played in great spirit and showcased the wonderful talents of the Masters players of both Nations.
The Tournament is another example of the strength of Masters Hockey in Oceania and strongly reflects the work of each nation's Masters Councils. One of the features of this event will be the appearance of the Chairpersons of both the Australia and New Zealand Masters Councils in the selection of Sue Briggs and Irene Ryan in their respective 60s Women's Teams. Sue and Irene have played in every TT since the inaugural contest was played in 2000.
